Greater Bethel Apostolic Church of Los Angeles, CA

Elder Aaron M. Martin, II was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Deacon and Mother Aaron Martin.  At an early age, Elder Martin became active in his local church.  The assembly had not had a consistent musician for several years and they were praying that God would send one.  Little did they know that God was raising up a musician within their midst.  It was at the age of seven that Elder Martin became the church musician.

Through his adolescent years, Elder Martin not only played for the church but also became the choir director of the youth choir.  He later went on to form his own singing group, which recorded during his teenage years.  Elder Martin was baptized in Jesus' Name at an early age and received the Holy Ghost during his teenage years.  At age 19, he heard the call to the ministry to which he told the Lord, "Yes".

Upon completion of high school, he went to college and received his degree in Performing Arts Music from the City University of New York.  During his college years, Elder Martin spent much time traveling extensively in both the music and preaching ministries.  God opened many doors and as a result, Elder Martin was blessed to minister in such countries as India, Japan, Brazil, Spain, and Haiti.  He continued to record and was blessed to accompany many renowned gospel artists.

In college Elder Aaron Martin met and married Sister Andrea (Baskerville) Martin in 1975.  They are the proud parents of two sons:  Aaron III and Antwon.  In 1976, Elder Martin became an Ordained Elder.  Shortly after his ordination, Elder Martin resumed traveling as an Evangelist and later became a National Evangelist in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World.

His many years of travel allowed him to meet Sister Frocine Eads in Indianapolis, Indiana, while he was in revival.  Through this meeting, Elder Martin was asked to come to Greater Bethel to run a revival.  This was the beginning of a bond of fellowship that continued for many years.  Through Greater Bethel, the Lord opened many other doors for Elder Martin to minister in California.

After years of observing the life of Elder Martin, Suffragan Bishop Alsie Eads asked him to relocate to California so that he might take over the pastorate of Greater Bethel Apostolic Church.  After much prayer, God gave him confirmation that Greater Bethel was where they Lord wanted him to come.  Since Elder Martin has become the pastor of Greater Bethel, God has granted us favor and many souls have been baptized in the Name of Jesus, and many have received the Holy Ghost, reclaimed or transferred to this Assembly.  To God be the Glory for the great things He has done.
